- can provide First Nations students with opportunities to first time and repeat courses in high school math and science, which can hamper students' scheduled graduation date and entrance into post-secondary and industry careers.
- can enhance the course offerings for First Nation high schools that are unable to offer a full load of grade 9-12 courses, due to cost or availability of staff. Additionally, the unavailability of trade prerequisite courses places the students in an economically disadvantaged position.
